Yes, the kids of 55 Maginhawa did party in a bar!

The kids of 55 Maginhawa Street, UP Village along with friends went out of their comfort zone for one night of hard partying hosted by Frigid Aire Nights last January 27, 2012 at Amos Cafe-a recently opened bar along Kamias Road, Q.C. The venue gives a feel of the 90's with its interior accented with CD and cassette tape covers mostly from the 90's, but what I find really comforting about the venue is that they have a band area where artists can place their instruments and prepare before their set so as not to cause irrelevant distractions among the guests.

The heavy start up performance of Dejado and angst driven set of rap metal act  6.7 on the Richter Scale from Baguio rightfully set the mood for more booze and "yeah!" shout outs from the crowd. Gonzo Army performed completely armed with their loud and submerging experimental noise art followed by a reminiscent set of Boldstar. A quirky line up, but the crowd were able to quickly return to their phase. Skylitstar and Baguio based rock band Ibarra came with strong performances and the Lowtechs ended the evening with the kids gone crazy dancing and cracked up with frontman Gelo Lagasca's "party boy" dance moves.

Indeed, it was a breath taking, foot stomping and head banging experience from start to finish. :)
